Vi segnaliamo l’ultimo rapporto di B’Tselem, il Centro d’informazione israeliano per i diritti umani nei Territori Occupati, pubblicato oggi 3 dicembre 2024, che rivela ancora una volta una realtà insopportabile: gravi abusi di routine sui palestinesi da parte dei soldati israeliani nel centro di una delle principali città della Cisgiordania (Hebron). Hanno intitolato il rapporto “Unleashed” (scatenato, senza freni), perché l’ondata di violenza riversata sui palestinesi nell’ultimo anno ha cambiato le norme di comportamento nelle forze armate.
Il rapporto si basa su oltre 20 testimonianze raccolte da B’Tselem di palestinesi che hanno subito abusi da parte di soldati israeliani tra maggio e agosto 2024. Le vittime descrivono di essere state catturate a caso dai soldati, per lo più mentre camminavano per le strade della città, svolgendo le loro attività quotidiane. Sono stati picchiati e sottoposti a gravi abusi da parte dei soldati, a volte per strada, altre volte all’interno degli avamposti militari dove sono stati portati.
Dopo più di un anno in cui Israele ha condotto una guerra sfrenata contro il popolo palestinese e il governo israeliano ha disumanizzato i palestinesi nel dibattito pubblico, questo abuso collettivo è diventato parte delle operazioni di routine dell’esercito israeliano in Cisgiordania.

B’Tselem, Unleashed, Abuse of palestinians by Israeli soldiers in the center of Hebron, 3 dicembre 2024
We would like to point out the last report of B’Tselem’s, the Israeli Information Centre for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, out today, 3 December 2024, again reveals an unbearable reality: routine, severe abuse of Palestinians by Israeli soldiers in the center of a major West Bank city (Hebron). They called the report “Unleashed“, because the wave of violence unleashed on Palestinians this past year has changed norms of conduct in the military.
The report is based on over 20 testimonies collected by B’Tselem from Palestinians who were abused by Israeli soldiers between May and August 2024. Victims describe being randomly seized by soldiers, mostly as they were walking down the streets of the city, going about their daily affairs. They were beaten and subjected to severe abuse by soldiers, sometimes in the street, and at other times inside military outposts where they were taken.
After more than a year of Israel waging an unchecked war against the Palestinian people, and the Israeli government dehumanization of Palestinians in public discourse, this collective abuse has become part of the routine operations of the Israeli military in the West Bank.
